My Experience

At Moravian College, pre-service teachers begin field experiences during the second semester of freshmen year. Students spend time in three different placements for field experiences before engaging in two pre-student teaching experiences during junior year. As a special education major, a field experience in a special education setting is also incorporated. The final experience incorporates two different student teaching placements during senior year. The information below describes the specific experiences that I received during my time at Moravian College. In addition to my experiences coinciding with college courses, I have numerous other experiences working with children through babysitting, nannying, working as a camp counselor and assistant site supervisor, mentoring, tutoring through the America Reads program, and working as a substitute teacher. All of these experiences have helped me develop as an educator.
